Fo all the sporty types reading this blog I though I’d give you a heads up about something a bit more lighthearted that’s coming up in May. It’s be great to see a few teams from those at the edges of telecoms industry take a few industry stalwarts to the cleaners. :) (Go on MAXroam you know you want to)
This unique event will take place on Thursday the 7th of May in Railway Union RFC in Sandymount. Teams from Meteor, Vodafone, O2, 3,Hutchinson, Sigma plus many more industry teams will compete for the title of best Telecoms Tag Team – bragging rights for years!

Teams will arrive from 5 pm , and will be taken through a light warm up ahead of the round robin format. The winners of the round robin will go on to the quarters, semis and Final to determine the overall winner. Food entertainment and a bar will be provided until late in to the evening.

Apparently there will be a special guest band that we will be announced later. Companies are encouraged to rally supporters for the company team to cheer them on during the tournament.
As well as being a fun active evening’s entertainment, industry networking in a positive environment is encouraged!
The cost of the team is €300 with entertainment and BBQ included. So for a 10 man Team (hey you don’t want to be running all the time) that means €30 each not bad for an evenings entertainment with food included.
