Venue for the Cork Meetup?
Events August 19th, 2008Hi guys we’re looking for a venue for the Cork Meetup on the 28th of August.
We’re looking for a medium sized venue with a bit of a cool vibe. Those of you who have been to the Odessa Club or 4 Dame Lane in Dublin or even The Living Room in Galway for previous events will know the type of place I’m looking for.
All suggestions are welcome and thanks in advance.

I’ve gone with the most popular suggestion which was the Cork International Airport Hotel.

What kind of numbers are we talking about?
I’m not familiar with the venues you mention, so not quite sure what you’re looking for… is the Odessa Club the place that does brunch or is that a different Odessa?

I’d say the venue would have to hold 50 to 80 to be on the safe side. You can never be sure of numbers unfortunately.
The Dublin events have had 120+ on occasion and the Limerick event had 40.
Somewhere kind of cool and funky has been the vibe and preferably with a bar in the room.
